Now that CrystalCommit has been upgraded to Forgejo 1.20 it is fairly obvious that some major UI changes in Forgejo have caused some issues with the theme. Any issues I run into that aren't trivially fixable will have their own issue, but this one will serve as a tracker for all relates issues.
